Meet Dr. Galvan
Maria is a passionate clinician who deeply cares about her community and is highly motivated to apply her outstanding clinical skills and research knowledge to improve oral health in the population.
Dr. Maria Galvan obtained her dental degree from University Complutense of Madrid, Spain.
She completed her certificate in Periodontics, as well as her Masters of Science in Craniofacial Biology, at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2013. Her quality of work has allowed for her being selected for multiple scholarships during her time as a resident and academician.
After graduation, she successfully became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Galvan has held a part-time teaching position as Clinical Assistant Professor in the section of Periodontics at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry.
She maintained private practice limited to Periodontics and dental implants, in Dallas (Texas) before becoming a full- time academician at UCLA school of dentistry as a Health Science Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics.
She has worked in private practice as a Periodontist and dental implant specialist and joined our team as an Associate in January 2023.
Dr. Galvan has also shared her passion in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry with the research community through the manifestation of articles for publication and presentation of abstracts.
