Dr. James Minutello, D.D.S. and Dr. Regina D. Minutello, D.M.D., M.S. have several years of experience in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and also offer comprehensive treatments in Implant Dentistry. Their services include Periodontal Treatments which address cosmetic concerns (like gum recession, discolorations or pigmentations on the gums or lips, bad breath, missing teeth, puffy gums, short teeth, gummy smiles) and disease concerns (like bleeding gums, bad breath, gum infection, bone loss, loose teeth, and oral pathologies). The doctors provide sedation dentistry as a means to ensure the comfort of their patients. They specialize in dental implant surgery for the placement of implant supported complete or partial dentures and implant supported bridges. For select cases, an in-office Cone-Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) is utilized for diagnostic purposes to facilitate accurate placement of dental implants and to determine the extent of periodontal infection of the bone and adjacent supporting structures. A CBCT, the most advanced and latest dental imaging, is a compact, faster and safer version of a regular CT so the time needed for a full scan is significantly reduced to less than one minute and the radiation dosage is up to a hundred times less than that of a regular CT scanner. It provides the most thorough imaging without sacrificing clarity and does not have the limitations other x-ray devices have.
Drs. Minutello also utilize the only FDA approved LASER for the treatment of Periodontal Disease. This procedure allows for faster, more painless healing with much less trauma over any conventional periodontal treament.
