Meet the Doctors
James S. Minutello, DDS, FICD
Dr. Jim grew up in the southern California area. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cal Poly Pomona, He attended Dental School at The Ohio State University- College of Dentistry, also graduating Magna Cum Laude. From there, he did his Periodontics residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His published research there focused on pain control in dentistry.
Dr. Minutello is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology. He is recognized by his peers for his advanced techniques in Bone Regeneration and Dental Implant Surgery. Having placed over 15,000 dental implants since 1986, his experience and knowledge is enormous in this ever changing field. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He has been practicing in the inland area of southern California since 1987.
Dr. Jim's hobbies include golfing, running, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Regina (Ginny) D. Minutello, DMD, MS
Dr. Ginny grew up in Manila and taught in the Philippines after graduating dental school. Wanting to expand her knowledge in Periodontics, she began her residency in Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and obtained a Master's degree and Certificate in Periodontics in 1988. Her published research involved Immunology, specifically on how inflammation relates to Periodontal Disease. She was Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry for a brief period and simultaneously established a private practice limited to Periodontics. While at Loma Linda University, she participated in research that investigated periodontal wound healing using varied types of periodontal treatments.
Dr. Minutello is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Her special interests include Cosmetic Soft Tissue Grafting and Laser Periodontal Treatment. She uses the only FDA approved laser for the treatment of Periodontal Disease.
Dr. Ginny's outside interests include friendships, skiing,traveling, hiking, and spending time with Dr. Jim and their 3 children!
Tricia D. Bato DDS
Tricia D. Bato was born and raised in Southern California and achieved both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Bato has been involved in several research projects related to the specialty of Periodontics during both her college and dental school years. She successfully completed a three-year residency at the University of Southern California (USC) and earned her Certificate in Periodontology in 2007. She also received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Achievement in Periodontology and the California Society of Periodontists Award for Outstanding Periodontal Resident.
Dr. Bato is Board Certified in Periodontics and practices all aspects of periodontal and implant therapy. She is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. In addition to private practice, Dr. Bato has held teaching positions at the UCLA School of Dentistry and at the Dental Hygiene Clinic at West Coast University.
In her free time, Dr. Bato enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling and catching up on her favorite sports teams.
BROOKE PANCER, DMD, MS, FRCDC, DABP
Brooke Pancer was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She graduated with distinction and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from McGill University in 2011. She successfully completed a three-year residency program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned her Certificate in Periodontology and Master’s degree in 2014. Her published research focused on the role of anti-inflammatory agents on the immune response and periodontal bacteria. Dr. Pancer worked in private practice and was a clinical instructor in periodontology at the University of Toronto in Canada before relocating to Southern California.
Dr. Pancer is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
She is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Harbor Dental Society, Orange County Dental Society, Canadian Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and Ontario Dental Association. In addition to private practice, Dr. Pancer will begin teaching Periodontology at Loma Linda University in the spring.
Dr. Pancer enjoys spending time with her husband and 1-year old son, cooking, outdoor activities, traveling, and catching up with friends and family
